Desmond Bane matched his season high with 37 points and the Magic advanced to the NBA Cup semifinals with a 117-108 victory over the Heat.

Jaylen Brown scored 30 points, Derrick White scored 14 of his 27 in the first quarter and the Boston Celtics beat Toronto 121-113 on Sunday, holding on late after blowing a 23-point lead in the second half.

Cade Cunningham scored 19 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter as the Detroit Pistons won their fourth straight, beating the Utah Jazz 114-103 on Wednesday night.

NBA Cup group play will continue through Nov. 28. The knockout rounds will begin a week and a half later on Dec. 9 and 10. The semifinals and championship game will both take place in Las Vegas. The semifinals are scheduled for Dec. 13, while the championship will take place on Dec. 16.

As the 2025-26 NBA season approaches the two-month mark, we should all be talking about how dominant the Oklahoma City Thunder have been sitting at 22-1. Or perhaps we should also be talking about how Denver Nuggets big Nikola Jokić appears poised to win a fourth MVP award.
