Nightcore is the name of a musical group that used to make happy hardcore songs with pitched up voices. The point of nightcoring a song (and this is what people often miss) is that sometimes the actual song can sound better speeded up and with pitched voices, because it remembers Nightcore's melodies and atmospheres.
Nightcore on Digitally Imported focusses on these Trance and Dance Nightcore edits, with lots of vocals and Happy Hardcore beats, rather than the Pop and Rock sub-culture that also developped alongside it.
The 'is this Nightcore' question always bothers me when I am creating nightcore playlists for channels which do not have one yet. It bothered me when I was deciding whether to include some songs in the Nightcore channel in DI Radio.

Need help/info on nightcoring by Zurd » September 26th, 2012, 9:45 am Hi all, having trouble when trying to nightcore a song, need help. The original song I have sounds very good but when I change the tempo, the beat (bass) produces an upbeat sound, almost like a clip or a suppress/suffocated beat.
Nightcore Infinity by Nightcore Infinity » July 24th, 2015, 8:22 am Hi to all. How lots of you, I'm a nightcore producer. I opened my channel about 3 weeks ago, where I post every 1/2 days new nightcore songs. How you'll go to see, one of my best quality is the inclination to post only high quality nightcores, and I hope you like it ;)
Also Nightcore electronic music. Most people Nightcores Techno & Trance. Myself use House (Mostly Progressive) and that works fine for me. But don't Nightcore Hardcore cause that will sound awful since Regular Nightcore is the same BPM as Hardcore. Nightcore Trance - Channel by Nightcore Trance » October 13th, 2022, 3:13 pm Hello! I enjoy listening to trance music and doing so I often thought "this would sound great as Nightcore mix" and since there wren't any Nightcore versions I started doing them myself.
