Amazon to open last-mile facility in Maryville
Nodaway County Economic Development announced the deal with the online retail giant in a news release on Wednesday. The city of Maryville and NCED acknowledged in January that the facility was in the works, but hadn’t finalized the deal and did not reveal at the time what company was expanding its operations to Maryville.

I keep seeing the terms "NCOP" and NCED" when looking up anime; these terms seem to be everywhere regarding translated series. I can guess that the last two letters refer to the opening and ending themes, but what's the NC part? Thanks!

Maryville, NCED work to bring national retailers to town
On the NCED side, McKim said it has a couple different partners it works with to bring industry to the region. Community Venture Network, out of Minneapolis, helps to place businesses using what McKim said is called a “location quotient, the relative concentration of a type of industry, compared to the national concentration.”

NCED moves to bring more workers to Nodaway County
Through that initiative, NCED will target area natives, Northwest Missouri State University graduates and others with a connection to Nodaway County who may be interested in returning, and pitch them on what Nodaway County has to offer.

MIDC didn’t contact neighbors before manufactured home delivery
Pfost confirmed to The Forum on Tuesday that MIDC did not notify all surrounding property owners, but said that Josh McKim, NCED executive director, spoke in person with “two or three” immediate neighbors prior to the home’s delivery in December.
